PCCI HRDF Conducts Its 4th Agriculture Training Workshop

PCCI HRDF in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Training Association (TESDA) held its 4th Agriculture Qualification and Competencies Workshop last April 19 at the TESDA Main Office in Taguig.

Present in the workshop are representatives from Nestle and Department of Agriculture Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI), and Seaweed Industry Association of the Philippines (SIAP).

PCCI and ECOP Bilateral Meeting with PFK Assessors

Last Feb. 15, 2016, a bilateral meeting of K-12 Plus Project Partner, PCCI-HRDF and the PCCI Board, together with members from the Employer's Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), met with PFK Mission members Dr. Rolf Speit and Dr. Lorenzo Templonuevo to discuss progress of the project as well as future directions.

K-12 Plus HRDF President, Dr. Alberto Fenix,jr. and K-12 Plus Coordinator, Mr. Andreas Meyn, were invited to take part of Asian Development Bank's Workshop on Developing and Implementing Evidence-based Policies in Education in the Philippines. Panel members include Tania Rajadel (Moderator; ADB); Br. Narciso Erguiza (President Catholic Educational Association of the Ph.); Monico Jacob (CEO and President STI Education Services Group, Inc.); Jane Cacacho (Commission on Secondary Education, Phi. Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities) and Antonio Tinio (Congressman and National Chairperson of Alliance of Concerned Teachers).

HRDF President on Study Tour with K-12 Plus Partners

During the period of January 16-23 ,2016, K-12 Plus Project held a Study Tour in cooperation with local Chambers and other Organisations in Germany, Technical Training for In- Company Trainers. Participants are Dr. Alberto Fenix, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Human Resource Development Foundation (PCCI HRDF), Ms Maricris Capistrano, Programme Manager of PCCI HRDF, Manila Philippines and Ole Frahm-Reindell, TVET Consultant, Germany. This is Day 1 of the tour which is to visit Mr. Michael Olma to discuss the following:
1. K to 12 PLUS project progress
2. Revenue-raising activities of ZDH, services to members for a fee, etc.
3. Governmental relations and on securing governmental funding for, ZDH for their operations and for their projects.
4. How do ZDH lobby with government and with the public?
5. Relationship to Labour Unions
The afternoon meeting was with Mr. York Sievers of DIHK in Berlin. Issues discussed the same issues as above.



Second day of the Study Tour was at DEULA,with Dr. Klaus Drescher. Visit as well to Landwirtschaftskammer with the President of the Chamber of Agriculture- Landwirtschafts-jammer Schleswig-Holstein, Mr. Peter Levsen Johannsen. Berufsschule, Fachschule and Bauernverband Rendsburg. Landwirtschafts Kammer/ Bundesverband . Discussed were:

1. Exploring the activities and financing mechanism as well as technical cooperation e.i. Short- term expert support TE and other (beyond K-to12 PLUS, cluster: Agro Industry)
2. Agro training activities, agriculture occupations and training regulations, income generation and financing of training possible support to PCCI HRDF
3. Visiting Tour DEULA Rendsburg
The visit was also included Mr. Manfred Donicht, Ms. Sonja Donicht and Mr. Martin Maier-Walke.

Human Resources Development Foundation

HRDF engages and conducts programs, events, projects or activities promoting human resources development and or human resources management. The Human Resources Development Foundation promotes and encourages business Chambers and Associations, and business enterprises to be actively involved in Human Resources Development. This will be through establishing and operating training institutions in technical, vocational, educational and health courses as well as other specialized courses in human resource development. The Foundation is also open to receive grants, donations, bequests in furtherance of its programs for Human Resources Development and Human Resources Management.


HRDF will be the key driver in industry-led Vocational Education and Training, matching the needs of its membership and providing graduates with career paths for gainful employment.


To engage in and conduct programmes, events, projects or activities promoting human resources development and/or human resources management:

To promote and encourage business chambers and associations and business enterprises to be actively involved in human resources development;

To establish and operate a technical, vocational, education and health courses and other specialised courses in human resource development, and;

To receive grants, donations, bequests in furtherance of its programmes for human resources development and human resources management.
