In-Company Trainers' Training Written Assessment

K-12 Plus Master Trainers, Ms. Vanessa Valencia, Ms. Maricris Capistrano and Mr. Marlon Mina, together with K to 12 Plus Hospitality Consultants, Ms. Patricia Boton and Mr. Marcel Haessner, launched the first "In-Company Training of Trainers in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas last Sept 14 at the Palm Beach Resort. The two week training ends with an In Company Trainer's Written Assessment Examination last Sept. 18, 2014. AFOS Launches First "In-Company Training of Trainers" in Cebu

K-12 Plus Project Partner AFOS and  Cebu Chamber of Commerce officially started training new In-Company Trainers last Sept.4, 2015 with Modules 1 and 2 as take home modules. K-12 Plus Master Trainers Mr. Steve Banzon and Mr. John Paul Briones launched the first "In-Company Training of Trainers" in Cebu. The trainees reported and presented on Sept.11,2015 their assigned activities and case studies reports. From Sept 16-19, 2015, the seminar workshop will proceed with Module 3 and 4 at the Cebu Chamber of Commerce training room. The trainees compose of representatives from Cebu's Food Manufacturing and Construction Cluster. The participants will go through a rigorous training on the following modules:

 

MODULE ONE: Analyzing work tasks and defining learning requirements
National TVET system
Apprenticeship and Dual Training Law
Cost and Benefits of Dual Training
Relevant Parts from the Labour Law
Training Regulations

K-12 Plus attends MOA signing between PCCI and GPCCI

Ambassador Alfredo M. Yao. President, of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) gives the speech below to mark the PCCI-GPCCI Memorandum of Agreement Signing on September 15, 2015, 11:00am, at the PCCI Boardroom. Dr. Bodo Goehrlich, President of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) and President of Steag Power Plant gave the main message. Also in attendance were Mr. Tristan Loveres, Chairman of the GPCCI Dual Training Board and Chief Operating Officer, TÜV Rheinland Philippines; Mr. Peter Kompalla, Executive Director of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI); Mr. Tobias Bolle, Project Director, Dual Training of GPCCI and the K to 12 PLUS Project; Ms. Kristina Silan, Project Officer of the GPCCI cluster of the K to 12 PLUS Project; Mr. Johannes Richter, Communications Officer of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI); Dr. Alberto P. Consultation Meeting with DualTech Laguna and Don Bosco

Dr. Dennis Mapa of the UP School of Statistics, Mr. Brian Bathan of TESDA Planning Office, Mr. Rheo Rodriguez of TESDA Laguna Regional Office and Ms. Maricris Capistrano of the K to 12 Plus Project visited the Dualtech Training Center Foundation in Carmelray Industrial Park in Laguna las September 4, 2015. 


Dr. Dennis Mapa and Ms. Maricris Capistrano presented the objectives and background of the Cost-Benefit Study on Dual Training in the Philippines to Dualtech and Don Bosco TVET Directors and Industry Coordinators.
 

K-12 Plus Project attend the 6th Workshop on Standard Implemation

K-12 Plus Project's 2nd Pilot Training of Master Trainers graduates are reunited once more as they attend the 6th Workshop on Curriculum Assessment and Progress of Standard Implementation and Promotion. K12 Plus Project Director, Andreas Meyn, and Project Officer for Project Management Support Princess Cobarrubias, Hospitality Cluster Consultant Vanessa Valencia together with HRDF Executive Director, Marlon Mina, and K-12 Plus AFOS Cebu team Rendell Barcino and Bryan Araneta are all representing the project. The conference is from 2nd - 4th of Sept. 2015 at the Eastin Grand Hotel Satorn Bangkok. The draft of the standard, consisting of 4 modules assigned to be worked out by each group of participants, would be presented to all participants. Stakeholders are, then, given the opportunity to confirm or add in the input, comment, or call for modification of the standard. Moreover, in the sessions, topic on how to proceed would be discussed, focusing on the implementation of standard in form of pilot projects and integration of standard at national level in each participating countries.
