Bibb Cost Benefit Study on DTS - Preliminary Report Presentation

K-12 Plus Project, together with PCCI-HRDF, BiBB and TESDA presented the prelimary report of the findings of the Cost Benefit Study on the Dual Training System in the Philippines. The findings, under the supervision of BiBB's Mr. Michael Schwarz and Mr. Felix Wenzelmann, was presented by Dean Dennis Mapa, Dean of the University of the Philippines, School of Statistics, who was commissioned by the project and it's partners to conduct the research. This was held at the TESDA women's center and Director General Irene Isaac also attended the event. The final report of the findings will be presented sometime early next year. Bibb and UP Initial Findings of the Cost Benefit Study Underway

K-12 Plus Project welcomes Mr. Michael Schwarz and Mr. Felix Wenzelmann. They are currently working with the Cost Benefit Analysis Study University Partner- UP College of Statistics with Dean Mapa. These last few days this week will be spent at the Diliman campus for the calculation of the initial results and findings. This will then be presented to TESDA on Dec. 11, 2015. Accompanying the team at Diliman is PCCI-HRDF's Research Advocate, Ms. Maricris Capistrano.

K-12 Plus Project Visits Angeles University

K-12 Plus Project Coordinator Andreas Meyn together with HRDF's Executive Director Marlon Mina and Research and Advocacy Officer Maricris Capistrano and the project's Short Term Expert Cris Stevens visit Angeles University. The visit was for STE Mr. Stevens' study on exploring how to position the Philippines as an education hub to attract foreign students to study. Cris is studying the current education situation of the Philippines and a visit to Angeles University was part of his trip in interviewing different schools for his mission.


Visit to Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology

K-12 Plus Short Term Expert, Ms. Karin Merle, and HRDF's Research Advocate, Ms. Maricris Capistrano, are welcomed last Nov. 27, 2015, by James Mr. Bartolome, of Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology. They were given a tour of the school located at the Toyota Special Economic Zone at Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Ms. Merle is including Don Bosco TVET School Partner, Toyota Motors, in her study of Good Practice of TVET in the Philippines.


Cebu K to 12 Plus New In-Company Trainer's Training

Cebu K to 12 Plus Project recently concluded a fresh new batch of In-Company trainers who belonged to the Tourism / Hospitality Industry. These trainers come from restaurants who will soon be accepting students from the Hospitality / Tourism cluster of Banilad Center for Professional Development. The students will be deployed to the restaurants on November and their immersion will last until January 2016 as part of the dual training approach advocated by the cluster.
