GPCCI and K-12 Plus Study Tour at the BIBB Roundtable

Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) host a Roundtable Event which was opened by Hans Gerard of Reh Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) and Deputy Head of IMOVE(International Marketing of Vocational Education). Topics included was an introduction to the Philippine Education Market of German Training Providers. A discussion on International Cooperation and Advisory Services/German Office for International Cooperation in VET was facilitated by D. Hannelore Kress of the BIBB. The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) is recognized as a center of excellence for vocational research and for the progressive development of vocational education and training (VET) in Germany. K-12 Plus and HRDF's Policy and Advocacy Officer shared the ongoing partnership with BIBB on a Cost Benefit Study ongoing in the Philippines. The initial findings and progess of the study were discussed. This study is in line with the Institute's mandated tasks which include conducting research on vocational education and training, developing vocational education and training, serving in an advisory capacity and providing services. Lastly, iMOVE was presented at the roundatble to discuss the Training: Made in Germany and also the presentation of German Providers led by Mr. Reh, Ms. Julia Bauer, Stefanie Gantner and Carina Schumacher of TUV Rheinland with Tarek Abulzahab of Sequa. IMOVE Philippines serves to establish networks between German and Philippine business and enables first-hand information exchange.
